Applications are now open for the Polis Summer School which runs from July 5th for three weeks.

The course 'International Journalism and Society - The Role of the Media in the Modern World' is taught by Polis Director Charlie Beckett with two colleagues from the Media and Communications Department at the LSE. It packs in 12 lectures, 12 talks by leading media practitioners and daily seminars with an exam and qualifications.

It covers the whole range of topical journalism issues from war reporting to blogging, with an emphasis on the global nature of news. It attracts a mix of international students, journalists, NGO workers and government communication officers.
